THE MESSIAH

HASHEM was now determined to redeem His people Israel.  But the nation had not fulfilled His plan because of the disobedience of the people.  Now through the obedience of the Messiah, He was going to establish and perfect His plan.  This would result in the redemption of His people Israel, and would ultimately extend His salvation to all the nations on the face of the earth.  Adam had lost his sovereignty, his blessing, and his paradise through disobedience.  As a result death had come upon himself and all of his offspring through the rebellion engendered by the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.  Death and sin reigned supreme over all the sons of Adam.  But when HASHEM sent the promised seed of the woman, the seed would through his obedience cancel the curse by destroying the tree from its roots, and bring in the everlasting righteousness that HASHEM had intended for the sons of Adam.  The Messiah המשיח, the son of HASHEM, did not take on the nature of angels, but he took on the seed of Abraham אברהם.  And through the seed of Abrahamאברהם , through Isaac יצחק, through Jacob יעקןב, through Judah יהודה, and finally through David the son of Jesse דוד בן ישי, the Messiah המשיח, who was from the beginning, was sent by HASHEM to the earth.  The Messiah המשיח brought the kingdom of HASHEM to the earth.  He introduced His kingdom to Israel.  He healed the sick, and he cast out devils.  Then through his death, he destroyed death, defeating satan the initiator, and brought in a new order of eternal life through his resurrection from the dead.  Through his obedience to HASHEM he destroyed the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and opened the way to the tree of life.  This way had been guarded by the Cherubims and a flaming sword.

The Messiah המשיח through his righteousness and obedience made the way open to the sons of Adam.  In order to destroy the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, he had to die on a tree.  He had to be the Korban קרבן to HASHEM upon the tree.  This Korban קרבן was the burnt offering, the sin offering, the guilt offering, the trespass offering, the peace offering, and the meal offering all combined into one sacrifice.  The Messiah המשיח fulfilled all the requirements of the Torah תורה against sin.  He took all the handwriting against the children of Israel and nailed it to the tree, thereby triumphing over all principalities and powers, and making a show of them openly through his victory.

This event was so important to HASHEM that He described it in specific detail hundreds of years before it happened through the prophets of Israel.  Yeshua ישוע knew that he had to fulfill all the words of the prophets. He had to die on the Passover פסח to fulfill the appointed time המועד given in the Torah תורה.

In his final journey to Jerusalem, Yeshua ישוע came down the Jordan Valley with his disciples.  Great multitudes of people surrounded him.  He passed through Gilgal, and also passed by the place where Elijah the prophet אליהו הנביא  had been taken to heaven in a chariot of fire.  His face was steadfastly set toward Jerusalem where he knew that he was going to die.

For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore have I not been confounded; therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.

Isaiah 50:7

And he gathered together the twelve, and said to them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all the things that are written through the prophets shall be accomplished unto the Son of man.

For he shall be delivered up to the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and shamefully treated, and spit upon:

and they shall scourge and kill him: and the third day he shall rise again.

As the Messiah המשיח approached Jericho, the whole city was in an uproar, vibrating with expectation.  The members of the Qumran community were there.  Everyone knew that Yeshua ישוע was the Son of David בן דוד.  They were waiting for the appearing of the kingdom of G-d מלכות אלקים.  A blind man was informed that Yeshua ישוע was coming and he cried out in a loud voice.

Yeshua, Son of David

Have mercy on me!

Yeshua ישוע stopped walking and told them to bring the blind man to him.  They brought the blind man through the crowd to stand before Yeshua.  When Yeshua asked what he wanted, the blind man said he wanted to see.  Yeshua ישוע gave him his request and instantly his eyes were opened and he could see perfectly.  The people glorified HASHEM.  As Yeshua ישוע continued on his way he passed under a sycamore tree.  The worst crook in the city, the leader of all the tax collectors for the Romans, had climbed up into the tree in order to see the Messiah המשיח.  Yeshua ישיע had been told by HASHEM that Zacchaeus זכי was in the tree.  When the Messiah המשיח passed under the tree, he looked up into the tree and told Zacchaeus to come down out of the tree, because HASHEM had told him to eat at his house.  Zacchaeus came down with great joy.  He repented of his thefts, and promised to restore with interest the money which he had stolen.  Yeshua ישוע told him that on the same day salvation had come to him and his household, because he also was a son of Abraham.

Yeshua ישוע then ascended up through the hills to a town called Bethany that was near Jerusalem on the Mount of Olives.  He went to the house of Lazarus and his sisters.  Lazarus had been dead for four days, and his body was wrapped in grave clothes and had been laid in a tomb hewn out of stone.  Yeshua ישוע called his name, and raised him from the dead.  All Judea heard about the miracle and came to see the man who had been dead for four days sitting in his house and eating and drinking with Yeshua ישוע and the disciples.  The people of Judea, when they saw the miracle, acknowledged that Yeshua ישוע was the Messiah המשיח.  When the High Priest כהן הגדול and the priests that were with him heard about the miracle, and that the people were saying that Yeshua ישוע was the Messiah המשיח, they became very agitated and upset.  They were puppets of Rome, appointed by the Romans, and placed in their positions by the Romans.  They were cozy in their positions, and they were afraid the Romans might remove them from the luxury that they enjoyed so much.   They took counsel to kill Yeshua ישוע.

Yeshua ישוע took a donkey, the signet of a king, and regally rode from the Mount of Olives through the Golden Gates שערי הרחמים into the courtyard of the Temple.  He was greeted by cries and shouts from the people.

Blessed is he who comes in the name of HASHEM

When the Messiah המשיח entered the courtyard of the Temple, he make a whip, overturned the tables of the moneychangers, and drove them out of the Temple.

Because zeal for Your House has eaten me up,

and the reproaches of them that reproach You are fallen upon me.

Psalms 69:10

Then the Messiah המשיח proceeded to teach the people, healing the sick and doing miracles among them.  He did this for many days.  He would leave the Temple porticos in the evening, and return to the Mount of Olives.  In the morning he would return to the Temple.  The Sadducees, the religious rulers, the scribes, and also the Pharisees tried to trick him in his words, so that they could deliver him into the hands of the Romans.  But the Messiah המשיח knew their thoughts, and they could not trick him with their devices.   They gave him hard riddles and asked him difficult questions.  He answered them all and amazed them with his wisdom and his understanding.  They examined the Lamb to see if there was any spot in him, but they could not find any spot or blemish.

The Lamb was perfect

The evening of the Passover פסח was approaching, and Jerusalem was full of people who had come to the feast to make sacrifices to HASHEM and to celebrate the feast according to the commandment of the Torah תורה.  Yeshua  ישוע had the Passover meal with the twelve students that he had chosen תלמידים.  The Messiah המשיח had to be sacrificed on Passover on Mount Moriah where HASHEM had told Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac.  After they had sung the Hallel הלל which included Psalm 118, Yeshua ישוע and his disciples went out into a grove of olive trees that was in a garden in the Kedron Valley.  There Yeshua  ישוע prayed to HASHEM.  The Messiah המשיח  was astonished at the monstrous immensity of the sins and iniquities that were about to be thrust upon him.  He groaned in agony under the immense, horrible weight and pressure of the sins and the iniquities.  The stress of the pressure was so great that the capillaries of his blood vessels burst and he sweated great drops of blood.   He cried out to HASHEM HIS FATHER to take the cup away from him.  When HASHEM refused, he submitted himself to the will of HASHEM.

When he returned to his disciples, he found them all sleeping.  This occurred three times.  When the Messiah returned the third time to his students, he was greeted by a retinue of soldiers from the High Priest Caiaphas.  One of his students had betrayed him, and told the High Priest where he was.  The band of soldiers and a company of priests asked him to identify himself.  When he did, they fell on their faces to the ground because of the great power of the anointing that was upon him.  Peter, one of his students, drew his sword and cut off one of the ears of a servant of the High Priest.  Yeshua ישוע picked the ear off the ground, and healed the servant instantly.  Then he told his students that he could ask his Father, and he would send twelve legions of angels to his rescue, but if he did this, the Scriptures would not be fulfilled.

Then all of his students fled.

Awake, O sword, against My shepherd, and against the man who is near to Me, says the LORD of hosts; smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered; and I will turn My hand upon the little ones

Zechariah 13:7

Then the soldiers escorted Yeshua to the house of the High Priest.  The elders and the entire Sanhedrin were gathered there.

The Messiah המשיח stood before the council and the entire Sanhedrin.  The High Priest sought for accusations against him to put him to death.  They had heard him say that he would destroy the Temple and raise it up again in three days.  But he had said this referring to his own body.  There were no witnesses who could agree to any charges against him.  They tried to get him to say something in his own defense.  But he would say nothing.  Finally the High Priest in frustration adjured him by a solemn oath before HASHEM to tell them if he was truly the Messiah.  This time Yeshua ישוע answered him saying:  “Behold, you shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with great glory.”  This was a direct quote from what Daniel the prophet had written when he had seen the vision of the coming of the Messiah המשיח .

I saw in the night visions, and, behold, there came with the clouds of heaven one like unto a son of man, and he came even to the Ancient of days, and he was brought near before Him.

And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations, and languages should serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom shall not be destroyed.

When the High Priest heard these words, he shrieked, and he tore his priestly garments. (It was forbidden in the Torah for High Priest to tear his garments!).  The High Priest cried out “He has blasphemed HASHEM.”  The council and the Sanhedrin sentenced Yeshua to death.  Then some blindfolded him and struck him on his cheeks, and said “Prophesy.  Who struck you?”  Then they spit upon him, and ripped out his beard.  This was done to fulfil the prophecy of the Scripture.

I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair; I hid not my face from shame and spitting.

Isaiah 50:6

The chief priests brought Yeshua to Pilate because the “Scepter had departed from Judah”, and they could not put him to death.

Pilate was a cruel and a ruthless man.  He had been appointed by the Romans to be a prefect over the province of Judea.  Pilate was a friend of Caiaphas.  They had close connections for political reasons.  Pilate was residing in the palace built by Herod the Great.  The palace was close to the house of Caiaphas.  The palace was a huge, magnificent, luxurious, sprawling complex that King Herod had built for his own pleasure in Jerusalem.

The religious rulers and a large crowd of people came storming into the courtyard of the palace demanding that Yeshua ישוע be put to death.  They could not charge him with blasphemy because blasphemy was not a crime deserving capital punishment for the Romans.  Instead they charged Yeshua ישוע with the crime that he had made himself king in Judea.  Under Jewish law it was not a crime to declare oneself a king.  But for the Romans anyone who declared himself king rebelled against Caesar, and the offense was punished by the worst possible death – which was crucifixion.  Crucifixion had been originally devised by Nimrod in Babylon by hanging the criminal on a tree.  The Romans perfected it to cause the maximum pain and agony before death.

Pilate had been warned about Yeshua by his wife because she had suffered many things about him in a dream the night before.  So Pilate sent him to Herod Antipas who was residing in another part of the palace.  Herod Antipas had come to Jerusalem from Galilee for the feast of the Passover.  He was the son of Herod the Great.  He was eager to see Yeshua because he had heard about the miracles that Yeshua ישוע had performed in Galilee.

When Yeshua stood before him, he asked him to do a miracle.  Yeshua said nothing.  Herod Antipas continued to talk to him but Yeshua said nothing.  This was to fulfill the prophecy of the Scripture.

He was oppressed, though he humbled himself and opened not his mouth; as a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before her shearers is dumb; yea, he opened not his mouth.

Isaiah 53:7

Herod Antipas became frustrated and insulted.  He had his soldiers put a crown of poisonous thorns on the Messiah’s head.  They pressed the thorns into his skull.  Then they took a purple robe and put it on him while he was bleeding.  They bowed their knee to him and mocked him.  Then they took the robe off of him and sent him back to Pilate.

Pilate did not want to have anything to do with this man.  So he sent him to be flogged by his soldiers.  The Romans used a flagrum, also called a flagellum, to whip him.  They whipped him from his neck to the bottom of his feet on both sides of his body, tearing his flesh in stripes.  This was done to fulfill the prophecy of the Scripture.

With his stripes we were healed.

Isaiah 53:5

The soldiers put his garments back on him, and sent him bleeding back to Pilate.  Pilate presented him to the people at his judgment seat.  This was done to fulfill the prophecy of the Scripture.

Behold, My servant shall prosper, he shall be exalted and lifted up, and shall be very high.

According as many were appalled at you—his face was marred and mashed so much that it did not appear like that of a man, and his form was unlike that of the sons of men—

But the mob of people, when they saw him, was whipped up into frenzy by the religious leaders who were Roman sympathizers and puppets of Rome.  They cried out that he had made himself a king, therefore he had to die.  Pilate gave Yeshua to his centurion.  The soldiers put the beam of the tree on the shoulders of Yeshua ישוע and made him carry it as far as he had strength to carry it.  Then they grabbed someone else to carry it the rest of the way to a hill outside the walls of Jerusalem.  The hill was part of Mount Moriah.  The Romans crucified malefactors there.

The Romans crucified the Messiah המשיח on the hill.  On the tree above his head they nailed his title: ‘<The King of the Jews>’  It was written in Hebrew, in Greek, and in Latin.  The soldiers took his garment and cast lots for it.  This was done to fulfill the Scripture.

They part my garments among them, and for my vesture do they cast lots.

The Roman puppet religious leaders stood around him, mocking him, shouting:   “He saved others, but he cannot save himself.  If he is the king of Israel, let him come down from the cross.  He trusted in HASHEM that He should deliver him.  Let Him delver him if He delights in him.”   This was done and these words were spoken to fulfill the prophecy of the Scripture.

But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.

All they that see me laugh me to scorn; they shoot out the lip, they shake the head:

“Let him commit himself to the LORD! Let Him rescue him; let Him deliver him, seeing He delights in him.”

Psalms 22:7-9

Yeshua the Messiah ישוע המשיח prayed for the people, saying: “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.”

In the middle of the day it became dark as night.  The sins and iniquities of the sons of Adam came upon the Messiah המשיח.  This was to fulfill the prophecy of the Scripture.

 All we like sheep did go astray; we turned everyone to his own way;

and the LORD has smitten him with the iniquity of us all.

Isaiah 53:6

Then Yeshua became sin for Israel and for all the sons of Adam.  This was done to fulfill the Scripture.

Surely our diseases he did bear, and our pains he carried; and we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed because of our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes we were healed.

Isaiah 53:4-5

HASHEM left his son and smote him.   Yeshua ישוע cried out in agony:  “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”   This was done and he said these words to fulfill the prophecy of the Scripture:

My God, my God, why have You forsaken me, and are far from my help at the words of my roaring?

Psalms 22:1

When Yeshua the Messiah ישוע המשיח had finished the Atonement the Kaparah הכפרה , he cried out in a loud voice: “It is finished! Father into your hands I commit my spirit.”  Then he died.  This was done to fulfill the prophecy of the Scripture.

Yet it pleased the LORD to crush him, make him diseased;

to make his soul a guilt offering;

he shall see his seed and prolong his days,

and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

He shall see the fruit of the travail of his soul and be satisfied, filled to the full. By his knowledge the Righteous One, My servant, shall make many righteous, for he did bear their iniquities.

Isaiah 53:10

The Messiah המשיח cried out these words to fulfil what was written by the prophets in the Scriptures.

HASHEM will FINISH that which concerns me

Psalms 138:8

Into Your hand I commit my spirit.

You have redeemed me, HASHEM, You are the God of truth

Psalms 31:6

A mighty earthquake shook the earth, voices were heard, and graves were opened.

HASHEM tore in half from top to bottom the vail in the Temple that was before the Holy of Holies.

There was a very wealthy man named Joseph who was from the town of Arimathaea that was close to Jerusalem.  He was part of the ruling class in Jerusalem.  He had made a tomb for himself in a garden that was a distance away from the site of the crucifixion.  The tomb was hewn out of rock and no dead body had ever been placed in it.  The man was a believer in the Messiah המשיח.  He went boldly to Pilate and requested that the body of Yeshua ישוע be taken off the tree and placed under his care.

The Romans often left the bodies on crosses for days, and sometimes even for weeks.  The bodies would decay and putrefy on the trees.  This was a part of their reign of terror over the people.  But the Romans made a special agreement with the Judeans not to leave the bodies on the crosses overnight.  HASHEM had given a special command in the Torah תורה.

And if a man has committed a sin worthy of death, and he is put to death, and you hang him on a tree;

his body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but you shall surely bury him the same day; for he who is hanged is accursed of God; you shall do this so that you will not defile your land which the LORD your God gives to you for an inheritance.

Pilate was surprised to hear that Yeshua ישוע was dead.  He sent the centurion to verify it.  When the centurion came to the two thieves that were crucified on either side of Yeshua, he commanded the soldiers to break their legs.  But Yeshua ישוע was already dead, so he did not break his legs. The centurion had a soldier thrust a spear into his side to make sure he was dead..  Blood and water came out.  This was done to fulfil the prophecies of the Scripture.

I can count all my bones; they look and gloat over me.

He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken.

They shall leave none of the Passover sacrifice until the morning, nor shall they break any bone of it; according to all the statute of the Passover they shall keep it.

Numbers 9:12

When Pilate was sure that Yeshua ישוע was dead, he told the centurion to take the body off the tree and give it to Joseph.  Joseph put a linen napkin over the face, and bound the body in a fine linen cloth, treating it with spices. Nicodemus was a ruler of the Judeans.  He also believed in the Messiah המשיח.  He brought the spices, and helped Joseph embalm the body according to the custom of the Judeans.  They also had the help of some of the women who came from Galilee.  Then they put the body of Yeshua יששוע in the new tomb that Joseph had previously hewed out of rock for himself.  Then they rolled a huge stone to seal off the entrance to the tomb.  This was done to fulfill the prophecy of the Scripture.

And he made his grave with the wicked and with the rich, his tomb; although he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.’

Isaiah 53:9

The Victory of the Messiah

The body of the Messiah המשיח was in the grave for three days.  It could not be there longer because after three days a dead body begins to see corruption.  The prophecy of the Scripture said that his body would not see corruption.

For You will not leave my soul in hell;

Neither will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.

Psalms 16:10

At the end of three days HASHEM raised Yeshua ישוע from the dead.  In a flash faster than a fraction of a nano-second and with the power greater than an atomic blast but without any destructive radiation, the Messiah המשיח entered his transformed body.  The grave clothes came off, and a mighty angel rolled back the stone of the grave that had been sealed by Pilate with the seal of Caesar.  The retinue of soldiers that had been assigned by Pilate to watch the grave fell on their faces as if they were dead men.

This was done to fulfil the prophecies of Scripture.

And He will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering that is cast over all peoples, and the veil that is spread over all nations.

 He will swallow up death in victory forever;

 and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces;

 and the reproach of His people will He take away from off all the earth;

for the LORD has spoken it.

And it shall be said in that day:  “Behold, this is our God, for whom we waited, that He might save us; this is the LORD, for whom we waited,

Hosea 13:14

Some of the women from Galilee that had come early in the morning found the stone rolled back from the doorway of the tomb and the soldiers laying on the ground like dead men.  They ran into the tomb, but there was no body there.  Perplexed, they saw an angel there who told them that the Messiah המשיח had risen.  Then Yeshua ישוע appeared to the women.  They ran to tell the eleven who were mourning his death.  Peter and John ran to the tomb, and found it to be empty.  The grave clothes and the napkin that had been on his face were neatly folded and placed in a corner.  They ran out of the tomb.  The soldiers had left and gone to the chief priests.

They ran to tell the rest of the students of Yeshua

Then the Messiah המשיח appeared first to Peter, then to all the eleven at one time.  They were meeting in a room that had locked doors because they were afraid of the Romans.  Suddenly Yeshua ישוע appeared to them.  He was standing in their midst.  He showed them his resurrection body.  It still had the holes from the nails that had pierced his wrists and his feet, and the wound from the spear that had pierced his side.  He took a piece of fish and ate it before them to show them that his new body was a physical body.  His students תלמידים were filled with joy.

For forty days the Messiah Yeshua המשיח ישוע was on the earth in his resurrection body giving testimony to his resurrection from the dead.  It had been prophesied beforehand in the Torah תורה, the Prophets נביאים, and the Psalms תהלים.

He shall see the fruit of the travail of his soul and be satisfied, filled to the full. By his knowledge the Righteous One, My servant, shall make many righteous, for he did bear their iniquities.

Therefore will I divide him a portion among the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the mighty; because he poured out his soul unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors; yet he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

I will raise them up a prophet from among their brethren, like unto you; and I will put My words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I shall command him.

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not listen to My words which he shall speak in My name, I will require it of him.

Psalms 72:17-19

The Messiah Yeshua המשיח ישוע appeared many times in his resurrection body during the forty days.  He appeared to two of his disciples in Emmaus.  He appeared to the eleven disciples תלמידים at the appointed mountain in Galilee.  He met with some of them at the Sea of Galilee.  He ate and drank with them.  He appeared to over five hundred people at one time.  He gave them infallible proofs of his physical resurrection.  At the end of the forty days he met with them in Jerusalem.  There he gave them commandments.

The Reign of the Messiah

The resurrected Messiah המשיח had been on the earth in the land of Israel for forty days.  Now it was the fortieth day of the counting of the Omer ספירת העומר.  He knew that he was going to ascend into heaven and sit at the right hand of HASHEM.  This was done to fulfill the Word of the Prophecy written in the Scripture.

The LORD says to my lord: “Sit at My right hand,

until I make your enemies your footstool.”

Psalms 110:1

Yeshua ישוע knew that HASHEM was going to pour out His Spirit on all flesh at the end of the counting of the omer on the day of the feast of Shavuot שבעות.  This was done to fulfill the Prophecy of the feast day המועד that HASHEM had commanded in the Torah תורה.

The Messiah המשיח told all his students תלמידיו to meet with him in Jerusalem.  This was done to fulfill the words of the prophets of Israel written in the Scriptures.

The rod of Thy strength the LORD will send out of Zion:

Psalms 110:2

For out of Zion shall go forth the Torah, and the Word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

Isaiah 2:3 ג

Yeshua ישוע had told his students תלמידיו that he would leave them, and that he would ask HASHEM to send them another Comforter.

And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever,

[even] the Spirit of Truth: whom the world cannot receive; for it sees Him not, neither knows Him: you know Him; for He abides with you, and shall be in you.

But the Comforter, [even] the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things,

and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come,

He shall guide you into all truth:

for He shall not speak from Himself; but whatever things that He shall hear,

these things shall He speak: and He shall declare to you the things that are to come.

He shall glorify me: for He shall take what is mine, and shall declare it to you.

All things whatsoever the Father has are mine.

Therefore I said that He takes from what is mine, and shall declare it to you.

The Messiah המשיח gave his students תלמידיו instructions, and commanded them concerning any person who would return by repenting  חזור בתשובה and believe on him, and submit themselves to his rule.  The person should do the mikvah מקוה for the kingdom of HASHEM מלבות הי .  HASHEM would pour out His Spirit upon the person..

He commanded his students תלמידיו to stay in Jerusalem until they received power from HASHEM on High גבוררת הי עליון.

When his students תלמדיו asked Yeshua ישוע if he was going to restore the kingdom of David to Israel, Yeshua ישוע told them that the times and the seasons were in the Hands of HASHEM.  However he had told them about the Spirit of Truth.

And He, when He is come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

Of sin, because they believe not on me;

Of righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you behold me no more;

Of judgment, because the prince of this world has been judged.

Then the Messiah Yeshua המשיח ישוע told his disciples תלמידיו to speak the Word of Liberty first to the children of Israel בני ישראל , then to the Samaritans, then to the nations of the world.

After he had finished speaking with them, the Messiah Yeshua המשיח ישוע led his students תלמידיו out of Jerusalem to the Mount of Olives.  There he ascended into heaven in a cloud to sit at the right hand of HASHEM in the majesty on high.

Who has ascended up into heaven, and descended?
Who has gathered the wind in his fists?

Who has bound the waters in his garment?
Who has established all the ends of the earth?
What is His name?

and what is His son’s name,

 if you know?

Proverbs 30:4

As the students of Yeshua ישוע תלמידי stood gazing, watching their Rebbe ascend into heaven, an angel of HASHEM spoke them.

And while they were gazing into heaven as he ascended in a cloud, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

who also said, “ You men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This same Yeshua, who was received up from you into heaven shall so come in like manner as you beheld him going into heaven.”

This was spoken to them to show how and where the Messiah Yeshua המשיח ישוע was going to return to Israel to set up the kingdom of David over the nation.

And His feet shall stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst toward the east and toward the west

 And the LORD shall be King over all the earth;

in that day shall the LORD be One, and His name One.

Then being filled with great overflowing joy, the students  תלמידים returned to Jerusalem according to the commandment of the Messiah Yeshua המשיח ישוע from the mount called Olivet. The Mount of Olives is close to Jerusalem, about a Sabbath day’s journey from the city.
