The MESSIAH and the ARM of HASHEM

The MESSIAH and the ARM of HASHEM

The ARM of HASHEM is connected to redemption.

And redemption is connected to the Messiah

The connection between the ARM of HASHEM and redemption is made in the second book of the TORAH.

Therefore, say to the children of Israel, ‘I am the LORD, and I will take you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will save you from their labor, and I will redeem you with an outstretched ARM and with great judgments.

Exodus 6:6

This is the third cup of the Passover feast.

Part of  the work and manifestation of the outstretched ARM of HASHEM are the ten plagues that HASHEM placed upon Egypt.  This fact is stated and confirmed  by the Prophet Jeremiah.

Who performed signs and wonders in the land of Egypt until this day, and in Israel and in mankind, and have made a name for Yourself as of this day.

And You brought Your people Israel forth out of the land of Egypt with signs and with wonders and with a strong hand and with an outstretched ARM and with great fearfulness.

The ARM of HASHEM is also referred to by Moses in the Torah as operating in the deliverance of Israel from the armies of the Egyptians at the Red Sea.

And you shall know this day; that [I speak] not with your children, who did not know and who did not see the chastisement of the LORD, your G-d, His greatness, His mighty hand, and His outstretched ARM,

And you shall know this day; that [I speak] not with your children, who did not know and who did not see the chastisement of the LORD, your G-d, His greatness, His mighty hand, and His outstretched ARM,

His signs, and His deeds, which He performed in the midst of Egypt, to Pharaoh, king of Egypt and to his entire land,

and what He did to the army of Egypt, to its steeds, and to its chariots, that He caused the waters of the Red Sea to inundate them when they pursued you, and HASHEM destroyed them, to this day.

This statement about the ARM of HASHEM  is confirmed by the Prophet Isaiah:

Awaken, awaken, dress yourself with strength, O ARM of HASHEM, awaken, awaken like days of old, generations of yore; are you not the one that hewed and cut Rahab and slew the dragon?

Are you not the one who dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep? Who made the depths of the sea a road for the redeemed ones to pass?

Isaiah 51:9-10

And again Isaiah says a second time:

He led at Moses’ right side with the ARM of His glory, splitting the water before them to make for Himself an everlasting name.

He led them in the depths like a horse in the desert; they did not stumble.

We also see the ARM of HASHEM providing for His people Israel during the forty years of their sojourn in the wilderness, and also fighting their battles for them after they entered the land that He had promised to our fathers Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob.

You-[with] Your hand You drove out nations and planted them; You inflicted harm on kingdoms and sent them away.

For not by their sword did they inherit the land, neither did their arm save them, but Your right hand and Your ARM and the light of Your countenance, for You favored them.

Psalm 44:3-4

Again the Psalm declares:

You are the G-d Who works wonders; You made known Your might among the peoples.

You redeemed Your people with Your ARM, the sons of Jacob and Joseph forever.

You crushed Rahab like one slain; with the ARM of Your might You scattered Your enemies.

You have an ARM with might; Your hand is mighty, Your right hand is high.

In the next step, redemption is connected to the MESSIAH  המשיח.  The MESSIAH  המשיח must therefore be connected to the ARM of HASHEM.

We see this connection clearly designated by the Prophet Isaiah.

Who would have believed our report, and to whom was the ARM of the HASHEM revealed?

And he came up like a sapling before it, and like a root from dry ground, he had neither form nor comeliness; and we saw him that he had no appearance. Now shall we desire him?

Isaiah 53:1-2

Here the ARM of HASHEM brings redemption, deliverance, and healing.

The Prophet Isaiah further confirms this fact:

And He saw that there was no man, and He was astounded for there was no intercessor, and His ARM saved for Him, and His righteousness, that supported Him.

And He donned righteousness like a coat of mail, and a helmet of salvation is upon His head, and He donned garments of vengeance as His attire, and He was clad with zeal as a cloak.

According to their deeds, accordingly He shall repay, fury to His adversaries, recompense to His enemies; to the islands He shall pay recompense.

And from the west they shall fear the name of the Lord, and from the rising of the sun, His glory, for distress shall come like a river; the SPIRIT of the LORD is wondrous in it.

And a redeemer shall come to Zion, and to those who repent of transgression in Jacob, says the Lord.

And the Prophet says a second time:

For a day of vengeance was in My heart, and the year of My redemption has arrived.

And I looked and there was no one helping or interceding, and I was astounded and there was no one supporting, and My ARM saved for Me, and My fury-that supported Me.

Isaiah 63:4-5

There are further connections made by the Scriptures with the NAME of the MESSIAH.

These connections reveal the name of the MESSIAH

A song. Sing to the HASHEM a new song, for He performed wonders;

His right hand and His holy ARM have saved Him.

The HASHEM has made known His salvation Yeshua

to the eyes of the nations He has revealed His righteousness.

Psalm 98:1-2

Here the Name of the MESSIAH is revealed to be Yeshua

The Messiah is also revealed to be the righteousness of HASHEM.

The Prophet Isaiah confirms this announcement.

Burst out in song, sing together, O ruins of Jerusalem, for HASHEM has consoled his people;

 He has redeemed Jerusalem.

The Lord has revealed His holy ARM before the eyes of all the nations,

and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation Yeshua ישוע of our G-d.

Isaiah 51:9-10

Once it is seen that the ARM of HASHEM is the Messiahהמשיח , then the connection between the Messiah and his name Yeshua ישוע is simple, and becomes obvious.  The Prophets of Israel reveal it to us.  They also say that HASHEM has revealed the name of the Messiah המשיח to the Gentiles.

My righteousness is near, My salvation has gone forth,

 and My arms shall chasten peoples;

islands shall wait for Me, and on My ARM shall they trust.

Isaiah 51:5

The ARM of HASHEM, or the Messiah המשיח was working for Israel when they crossed the Red Sea after leaving Egypt.  This is the one who had done great exploits in ancient times.

Awaken, awaken, dress yourself with strength, O ARM of the HASHEM, awaken, awaken like days of old, generations of yore; are you not the one that hewed Rahab and slew the sea monster?

Are you not the one who dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep? Who made the depths of the sea a road for the redeemed ones to pass?

Isaiah 51:9-10

This is confirmed by the words of Micah the Prophet:

And you, Bethlehem Ephrathah-you should have been the lowest

of the clans of Judah-from you [he] shall emerge for Me,

 to be a ruler over Israel;

and his origin, his going forth,

is from of old, from days of yore (from ancient days).

Micah 5:1

Moses also declared the work of the Messiah Yeshua המשיח ישוע as he battled for Israel at the Red Sea:

Moses said to the people, Don’t be afraid! Stand firm and see the HASHEM’s salvation Yeshua  ישועthat He will wreak for you today, for the way you have seen the Egyptians is [only] today, [but] you shall no longer continue to see them for eternity.

The result of believing on the Messiah Yeshua  ישוע המשיח, as the Prophet Isaiah said, is everlasting joy.

And the redeemed of the HASHEM shall return,

and they shall come to Zion with song,

 and [with] everlasting joy on their heads;

 gladness and joy shall overtake them;

 sorrow and sighing shall flee.

The Messiah המשיח, the ARM of HASHEM,  on that Babylonian/Roman execution stake, defeated all the hordes of the fallen angels, and their leader satan, executed judgement upon them, and took away all of their authority and power over Israel, and all the nations, the entire human race.  Then He made a show of them openly, triumphing over them, having paid the price and penalty for the breaking of the Torah, having become the sin offering and the guilt offering, nullifying all the accusations against us.

Therefore we can sing a new song, as Moses and Miriam and Israel, sang at the sea:  HASHEM has triumphed!

“I will sing to the HASHEM

For He has triumphed gloriously,

He has cast the horse and its rider into the sea.

The LORD is my strength and song,

And He is become Yeshua to me.

This is my G-d,

And He is my habitation,

The G-d of my father,

And I will exalt Him.

Exodus 15:1-2

And also as it is written:

He shall return, and have compassion upon us.

He shall subdue our iniquities,

And you will cast all their iniquities

Into the depths of the sea.

Micah 7:19
